Terms of Use
Effective 23 September 2026 · Version 1.0
The short version
- Ride first. Never handle your phone while riding. Navpact is a companion, not a safety system.
- Be decent. We have zero tolerance for harassment, hate, threats, sexual content involving minors, or tracking people without their consent. Breaking this gets content removed and accounts closed.
- You own what you post. You give us permission to show it to the people you share it with.
- It’s a beta. Things may change or break. Tell us when they do.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Oscar Fluur, a private individual in Sweden who develops and operates Navpact (“Navpact”, “we”, “us”). They apply to the Navpact app, the website at navpact.com and the services behind them (the “Service”). Before you can use the Service, the app asks you to accept these terms and to confirm that you have read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data. We keep a record of which version you accepted and when.
If you download Navpact from Apple’s App Store or TestFlight, Apple’s terms for those services also apply. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the Service.
2. Who can use Navpact
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You must give accurate information when you sign up, keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
3. Rider safety
Your safety and the safety of others on the road always come first.
- Do not look at, touch or operate the app while you are riding. Set up your route, group and voice before you set off, and stop somewhere safe before you interact with the app.
- Always follow traffic laws, road signs, road conditions and your own judgment. If anything the app shows conflicts with what you see, trust the road.
- Maps, routes, speeds, positions, arrival times and alerts can be wrong, late or missing — for example because of GPS accuracy, mobile coverage, battery or map data. A route may lead onto roads that are closed, unsuitable or unsafe for you or your motorcycle.
- Navpact is not an emergency service. An alert sent through the app may not arrive. In an emergency, call 112 or your local emergency number.
- Riding in a group has its own risks. Ride at your own pace and your own level; never ride beyond your ability to keep up with someone on the map.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, posts, messages, rides and other content you create in Navpact (“your content”). To run the Service, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and display your content, only for the purpose of providing the Service to you and to the people you choose to share it with. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups for the short period described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for your content, and you confirm that you have the right to share it — including the permission of other people who appear in your photos.
6. The beta
Navpact is in beta. Features may be incomplete, change, or be removed, and the Service may sometimes be unavailable or contain errors. We may reset or change parts of the Service during the beta, but we will not delete your account data without telling you first. Your feedback is welcome and helps shape the app; if you send us ideas, we may use them without obligation to you.
The Service is currently provided free of charge.
7. Ending your use
You can stop using Navpact at any time and delete your account in the app under You → Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if required by law, or if we stop offering the Service. If we close the Service entirely, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
8. Liability
We work hard to keep Navpact reliable and safe, but because it is a free beta that depends on GPS, mobile networks and map data outside our control, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by inaccurate maps, routes, positions or alerts, network outages, or other riders’ behaviour.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Swedish law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for gross negligence or intent, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service develops. If a change is material, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The app will ask you to accept the new version before you can keep using Navpact; if you don’t agree, you can delete your account from that same screen.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law. If we have a disagreement, please contact us first — most things can be sorted out quickly. If not, disputes are settled by Swedish courts, but if you are a consumer you keep any right to bring a claim in the courts of your home country and the protections of its consumer law. Consumers in the EU can also use the EU online dispute resolution platform.
